This virtual session is for complex concerns such as hormone regulation, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause, gut issues, stress, or anxiety when not trying to conceive.

3. Initial Acupuncture Only Treatment

Select a location below to choose this in-person acupuncture visit. Ideal for pregnancy, breech, labor prep, musculoskeletal issues, and upcoming surgeries or procedures. This option is only for patients who have not had a consultation or been in for over one year.

Dr. Mitch Schreiber, DACM

(he/him) is the co-founder of Sage Acupuncture and its sister clinic The Cancer Wellness Center, where he leads a team of complementary cancer care specialists.

Mitch received his Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with a focus on Integrative Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science. He received his Masters of Science from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Mitch has advanced training, certification, and practice in integrative oncology, reproductive health, and occupational acupuncture. He has also engaged in studies in Classical Chinese Medicine at the American University of Complementary Medicine, with esteemed senior teacher and Daoist priest, Jeffery Yuen.

Mitch has spent several years in integrated clinical settings, including Tulsi Holistic Living in Washington DC and the Carl Vogel Center – a multi-disciplinary HIV clinic. In 2005, he co-authored a study on acupuncture and pain management with HIV patients. In 2006, he participated in a peer review of “Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology,” by the Art of Medicine Press.

A passion for food and nutrition, rooted in a lifetime of study, led Mitch to complete training in “Food as Medicine” through the Center for Mind Body Medicine and Georgetown University Medical School and in certification by the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. Mitch is a graduate of The Shiatsu Institute and Therapy Center in San Francisco, The Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage in Austin, and the Asian bodywork program at AOMA in Austin, where he went on to assist in the Tuina department. Mitch is also a Reiki Master, a Radical Remission Certified Workshop Facilitator, and meditation instructor.

Outside of the office, Mitch can be found spending time with family, exercising body and mind, cooking, volunteering, and playing drums and sound healing instruments.

Sadie Minkoff L.Ac., FABORM, OBAA

(she/her) is the clinical director of the largest reproductive acupuncture practice in central Texas, a pioneer in the field, she is known for her intuitive and compassionate care. For over twenty years she has worked with her partner, Dr. Mitch Schreiber DACM. Together they opened Sage Acupuncture, Austin’s premier holistic fertility clinic. Later they founded The Cancer Wellness Center for patients, survivors, and their caregivers. Sadie and Mitch dedicated their life’s work to fertility and oncology because their family has been personally touched by both. It is their mission to support others faced with these challenges by providing exceptional care in a healing environment.

Sadie has seen firsthand the great benefit that an interdisciplinary approach to healing can bring. In addition to her private practice, she has worked in various clinical settings including The Texas Fertility Center, Austin Surgical Hospital, Central Family Practice, The Genetics & IVF Institute of Virginia, Tulsi Holistic Living, and the Carl Vogel Center of Washington, DC.

She is an inaugural Fellow of ABORM the Acupuncture Board of TCM and Reproductive Medicine, which certifies a select group of acupuncturists in reproductive health through a comprehensive board examination and ongoing continuing education in both modern and traditional medicine. Sadie serves as ABORM’s Vice President and is currently the board’s Interim Executive Director. She holds certification in Infertility, Prenatal Care, and Maternal Health from the Kharrazian Institute for Functional Medicine, is a certified Obstetrical Acupuncture Association senior member, is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, nationally certified by the NCCAOM, and holds a four year Masters of Science degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. In 2019 she was highlighted as one of AOMA’s most successful alumni.

Sadie has been a guest lecturer at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine as well as the The Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has UT Health Medical students shadow her as part of their REI rotation. In 2006 she contributed to a peer review of “Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology,” by the Art of Medicine Press.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Sadie’s work is educating patients, other acupuncturists, and healthcare professionals about integrative reproductive medicine. She is honored to be part of creating the great team at Sage that has received the Austin Chronicle’s Award for Best Acupuncture Clinic, Best In Birth Austin Award for Best Acupuncturists, Austin Birth Award for Best Acupuncture Clinic & Best Herbalist. They were also named Best Austin Acupuncturists in Tribeza’s Wellness Guide and by Expertise.com.
